You’re looking for "Herman Wilderotter and Kenneth Stillinger, both of New Jersey" (or someone who knew them). Period. Sixty years after the fact. No dates of birth or death, no middle names or initials; no additional information at all. Yet you’re expecting someone - a total stranger with no interest at all - to develop information for you. It’s not going to happen.
I found two Herman Wilderotters - father and son - living in Essex County, New Jersey in 1941. The elder was about 60. The younger, was around 15; just old enough to have caught the tail end of the war and/or very beginning of the occupation (most likely the latter). If your mother was Cecilia, born in June 1928, this is her family. If not, you’re SOL. In fact, either way, you’re SOL.
I spend about $1,000.00 a year onsubscription databases. I’m a professional researcher and I’ve been around a while. I’m the "oldest hooker on the block" as it were; the original "Pro from Dover". Until recently, from time to time, I’d do a few relatively simple look-ups at reduced- or no charge. It’s never worked out.
Even when you provide something for nothing it’s not enough and it’s never appreciated. I recently offered several excellent references at ridiculous prices. I’d INTENDED to GIVE the damn things - no charge - to the first who inquired. NOT ONE PERSON RESPONDED.
