And from Woodbury Tennessee, I thank you. Wayne Mullen 911 Hill Creek Road, Woodbury, Tn. 37190
Would it have been an unusual transfer if my uncle upon recovering from wounds in England, Nov 1944, been placed in the 194th instead of going back to the 90th where he had been?
It is interesting about the POWs, my uncle received a thank you from German Soldier after the War. It was from a POW whom he had fed and was now living in East Germany. He said he was fed much better as a POW than he was as a civilian trying to work and provide food for his family. The letter was a thank you for the food and treatment received- both my uncle and the German Soldier were married with small children.
Thanks for the help and let me cost of all and I will send to you. Wayne
