I agree, Stanton's text is really second to none for the type of information most of my correspondants require.
I am at least a little confused.
In your post #1798, you refer to your uncle's routing to the Pacific via San Francisco in late 1943.
In your post #1457, we have him in Sicily in mid-1943.
Are we researching two uncles ???
Finally, I am very pleased to learn that Wilford survived the war experience.
