SteveP. I note thatDr. Friedenberg -- in his book: Hospital At War, details the locations of the 95 th Evac Hospital beginning on page 118, with the 95th at Mutzig on Jan. 2,1945-- from there they went to Epinal, via the St. Die Pass. But, they were immediately ordered to return to the front, as the 7th Army needed a forward Hospital. Three days latter they were ordered forward to Sarrebourg, France. They were atMutzig for a total of 36 days, andat Sarrebourg for778 days.
I highly recommend "Hospital At War" Friedenberg, 2004 -- for every one who has an interest in the evac hospitals of WWII.
Also, I would be interested in finding more sourcesof information on the 95th, and related hospitals in the European Theater, as my father was a surgeon in thisHospital.W.Courter
