Sgt. Drullinger was one of 16 men of the 157th Infantry Regiment who drowned on 10 July 1943 in the Sicilian surf, the first day of combat for the 45th Infantry Division.
In the handwritten list of 157th Battle Casualties I found at the NARA last month, his name, which is the first name listed, is misspelled as Druillinger.

Luna, Pvt. Dale D. Brewer, Pvt. Russel G. Wilburn, Pvt. George H. Lauster, Pvt. Anthony J. Mobilia, Pvt. Harry G. Ludski, Pvt. Believed Drowned. Vincent DiFrancesco, Pvt. Believed Drowned.
All of them belonged to F Company except Ludski, who belonged to H Company.
