The 188th was a non-divisional battalion, meaning that it was assigned to various Divisions-Corps-Armies-Army Groups
on a where-needed-as-needed basis.
Location at war's end, Bachara, Germany.
Returned to Boston P/E, 26 Oct 45;
inactivated at Camp Miles Standish, Mass., 27 Oct 45.
If you would like to look up their unit assignments, go to
where you will find all divisions;
drop down to ASSIGNMENTS, FA, and you will find the unit.
Please feel free to get back to me as needed.
