The Draft Registration Card has nothing to do with enlistment only providing the names, addresses of men that were eligible to be "drafted" by the Selective Service Adminstration. Not all men who filed a card entered the service, just that they were in a pool picked to be sent letters to report to the local draft board, have a physical and further review of dependants to be ordered to serve. If the daughter has pictures of her father in uniform she should be able to tell which war he served and which service. Can she scan them and enlarge to look at any patches, buttons, ribbons, rank markings? She should be able take them to her local VFW chapter/VA office or internet search for help with identifying what they are.
