On the 8x10 of Kenneth, no patches appear on the shoulders. He does have two "buttons" on the lapels. One reads, "U.S." and the other looks like two crossed weapons-which my husband believes meant combat infantry. The Ensign no his hat, reminds me of the Navy but I belive this to be an Army Soldier.
When you look at the other photo, it's a wallet size-so when I blow it up on the computer, you can see the man down in front is a Sgt.The one behind him has a patch on his right shoulder and it appear the same patch might be on his cover and the Sgt's cover.the middle one (upright infront of the guy leaning over), has a patch and so does the guy standing behind the guy who's leaning.I'd gladly send this to anyone who would like to figure it out.I does blow up nicely, but I'm not comfortable trying to guess.
I believe the photographers stamp which indicated North Carolina, also indicated where he was when the photo was taken probably where he was stationed. This photo was found in Michigan-which I know doesn't really mean anything but I do photography and I think that the "photographer" was attached to the base (for the 8x10).(I did a search on Dunbar/NC back when I first picked this up.)The little picture was developed by a military lab.
I'll look over the information you sent. Thanks for the suggestion. If you want to look them over send me a note at:email@example.com
