I recently got some paperwork for a relative (Patrick Gilday) who was in the Army in World War II.One of the sheets (it looks like a veterans administraion type thing) says: Pvt. 815 Q.M. Plat. Trk. (AVN) (SEP).
Does anyone know what this means?Could it be his unit?I think Pvt. stands for Private but Im not sure about the rest.If this is his unit where would he have served?I only recieved this paper and his final pay voucher, neither of which tells much (the rest of his papers were destroyed in the fire in St. Louis).
