I'm researching a WWII service man who was assigned or attached to any number of school squadrons between 8 Mar 1942 and 15 Sep 1942. The dates below were penned by him during the war:
03/08/1942 26th School Squadron; Jefferson Barracks 04/12/1942 14th School Squadron; Scott Field, Ill. 07/01/1943 620th School Sqaudron; Jefferson Barracks 07/21/1942 520th School Squadron; Madison, Wisconsin 09/15/1942 9th School Squadron; AAF OCS (*), Miami Beach
The first entry is also on another of the service man's records, marked as "Basic Training."
Any assistance is appreciated. --GJ
"Encyclopedia > Jefferson Barracks," _Nation Master_ (http://www.nationmaster.com/encyclopedia/Jefferson-Barracks : 18 Feb 2009), "During World War II, Jefferson Barracks was a major reception center for troops being drafted into the military. It also served a a basic training site for the Army then later the first Army Air Corp Training Site."
"Illinois World War II Army Airfields," Wikipedia; calls it, "Air Transport Command," and reports as "8th Army Air Force Base Unit." [Now Scott Air Force Base.]
