Looking for Information of Harold E. Brown
My father was a chief machinists mate aboard the minesweeper U.S.S. Token and served in the South Pacific. Recently, I went through his war memorabilia and came across a scrapbook that he somehow obtained. The book belonged to a Harold E. Brown, a corporal in the US Army. This man must have been a friend of my father and whether he befriended my dad during the war or they knew each other and crossed paths in the Pacific, I do not know. I do not know if the scrapbook was given to my dad for safekeeping or if he acquired it due to some other reason. The photos illustrated campaigns in Anguar, Palaus, Okinawa, Guam, and Ie Shima. Various references lead me to believe he was in the 10th Army, possibly the 81st Division. A reference was made to the 322 Infantry. I would be very interested in locating Harold Brown or his family as I am sure they would be interested in this book of photographs. Thank you.
