Dennis,
I hope I'm not too late contacting you in reference to your father's service in the 3436th in Okinawa in 1945. Prior to that I was in the 564th Heavy Maintenance Co. I do not recall the name Brickner but I do have some photos. I am currently in the process of posting on Ancestry.com all about my service including pictures and stories. I think your father was there before me because I don't recall the 937th.
I was drafted in Philadelphia, Pa. in 1944 and had Basic Training and Ordnance School at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. From there I was sent to Camp Reynolds, Pa. and then to Camp Hood, Texas from which I was sent to the Seattle Port of Embarkation, Wa.We left Seattle July 23, 1945 on the USS Bandera and landed on Okinawa Sept 1945. I came home May 1946 on the USS Rodman. I am 85 years old. Hope to hear from you.
Bill
