I probably wouldn't be here today if they didn't drop the atomic bombs. My father was in the 7th Infantry Division, he fought at Attu,Kwjalein,Leyte and Okinawa. He was wounded on April 22nd 1945, on Okinawa, he was sent home, when he got better he was to report back to his unit, while at Fort Ord, CA. they drop the bombs, and then the Japs surrender, he was sent back to Camp McCoy, WI to be discharged. I was watching a program on one of the History channels called, What would of happen if we had invaded Japan, they said we probably would of had about 1 million men KIA and another two million wounded. I would like to thank Jack and Louie and all of the other WWII veterans for thier service.
