NARA NOW CHARGING FOR RECORDS
I requested a copy of a cousin's WW II service record.
I was called and spoke to a very nice employee of NARA he was calling to confirm some of the dates I had to make sure it was the correct record. Then I was told NARA now charges for copies of these records. When did this happen?
I do not mind paying but some of the charges are high example all of the records or what they have cost $60.00
a copy of his separation (otherwise called Discharg) $20.00 - the separation record really does not tell you a lot, and according to this person each service keep different types of records.
I guess I'm just letting off some steam.
