The 7th infantry Division did most of the fighting, later, i believe it was part of the 4th Regiment or 4th Division ,that came in a did some fighting about half way into the battle. As far as Kiska, over 100 men were killed by friendly fire. My father was in Co B 17th Regiment 7th Division, fought on Attu and made the landing on Kiska. I do know that the 4th Regiment or 4th Division, did end up in Euorpe.
