If he died and was buried overseas, there is a site you may locate him at. Try:
which brings up
American Burial Memorial Committee.
Follow the directions to determine if he did in deed die and was interred abroad.
The information will identify him by name, rank,branch of service, where entered service
from,date of death and where buried.
There are a number of American cemeteries
located throughout the world.
