Louie - I cannot believe I have found you in this forum as well as the TURNER forum. I had asked you about the possible connection between my gr-gr-grandfather and your family - Hanry Zadock Borum who named his son Turner Goodall Borum.
Anyway - You seem to have a LOT of information on the airborne units of WWII. I have been trying to find service record information for my father and have been unlucky so far. He was in a glider unit between 1943 and October 1944. He was sent home to Hines Hospital in IL after contracting TB. The VA, of course, cannot find anything and presume his records were burned in the fire in St. Louis. They have given me his Selective Service number and his WWII medal but that is about all they have been able to tell me.
Have you found any way to get division or unit rosters, or any other "informal" information that the VA would not have burned up?
