A recent acquisition has enabled me to offer a Distinguished Service Cross (DSC), the Army's second highest award for combat valor (ranks immediately after the Congressional Medal of Honor in official order of precedence). This is a complete, authentic, government-issue set (with extras) consisting of:
1. a genuine, regulation-size DSC 2. a genuine, regulation DSC service ribbon 3. a genuine, enamel DSC lapel ribbon
Extras (included with above but not - or no longer - army-issue):
4. a 2" length of genuine DSC ribbon (for custom-tailored, hand-sewn service ribbon; no longer issued) 5. a miniature DSC (miniatures are worn with the optional evening mess dress uniform [for formal dining] and are NOT usually issued by the army; these normally must be purchased from military exchanges or private suppliers)
All the above are in excellent condition and in genuine, government-issue presentation case. The full-size DSC is unnamed (unengraved) and would be an excellent replacement (for a lost or damaged original), a spare (for display-mounting) or simply a collector's item. Price is firm. First come, first served. No documentation necessary; I require only a check or money order. Period.
IMPORTANT: Anyone, living or deceased, who has been awarded the DSC may be entitled to a replacement FREE OF CHARGE from the Records Center in St. Louis, PROVIDED:
A. Applicant can fully document the award AND
B. The original decoration was NOT lost, damaged or destroyed as a result of negligence or carelessness AND
C. Original decoration must be returned (if lost or stolen, loss/theft must be documented - police report, insurance claim, etc.)
Also, the Records Center currently has a backlog of over 200,000 (and growing) requests and the average waiting period is now about three years. (I'm under no legal obligation to inform of this; just thought I'd let you know).
