Looking for veterans Co G 112th Inf Regt
My father, who is now deceased, served in the above Company from December of 1941 to July of 1945.He never spoke much about his war-time experiences.I yearn to know more than I've been able to glean from governmental sources, especially since the "request" I made to the National Archives was returned stating that my father's records were "lost" in a fire.I would like to know where my father was stationed, what battles he was in, and would love to "hear" from anyone who might have known him then. His name was JAMES HENRY RITTEL who enlisted in Syracuse, NY and entered army service through Buffalo, NY.Please email me with any information or perhaps other sources where I might be able to find any information. Many thanks, in advance, to all who can help!
