You no doubt already have this, but the squadron was an element of 374th Troop Carrier Group, Fifth Air Force from 1942 to 1946. Your best bet for locating someone who served with him is a veterans association. It's unlikely there's a squadron (22d) or group (374th) association (unlikely, not impossible) but there should almost certainly be a 5th Air Force Association, although I'm unable to locate any reference to it.
