I would like to jump in here and ask for some help. I have recently found my father's discharge papers from World War II. He was in the 112th AAF BU (CCTS Bomb (H))at Westover Field, MA and received an Honorable Discharge on 10/10/44. His papers state reason for Honorable Discharge: CDD, 2d Ind, WD AGO Form 40, Hq AAB Westover Field, Mass. Can anyone tell me what the codes mean? I am trying to clear his name and prove that he did serve with honor. It indicates on the papers that he was promoted to corporal in June of 1944, then discharged honorably in October, 1944. I know that he suffered from some severe medical problems and assume that is why he was discharged.
