My daughter has to do a Patriotic Assignment on her Great Grandfather. And is due on Nov. 7.2001, and counts for two grades. He was in the army corp of Engineers(combat engineer) during World War II. All we know is that he was at the Battle of the Budgle and at the Rhine River. And that they ran into the 3rd army with Gen.Patton. And that he was a Sargent,in the corp of Engineers. My question is, is there anyway you can help me fine out his Unit number, and if there where any medals or awards or any other information? I've read some information on different websites and,it sounds as thoe he may have been inunit 51,but im not sure.
