Hey Bob--
Oh my gosh!I completely misunderstood!!I have my computer configured to receive messages direct from the board without going up there all the time, so when your "offer" came across my screen I thought it was directed to me--one pro to another. It didn't say "Dear Ariane" or anything so I just "assumed"... and you know how that old saying goes.

Ah well...

Do you really think this poster is that immature and uncaring?Geez--I was over there on Sept 11 and the Belgian people "closed ranks" around all of us Yanks and I thought their interest and considertion of American's was genuine and heartfelt. That is why I spent so much time in crafting a reply to the "War Godmother's" post.I can just see the Belgian's doing something like that--it is very much in their nature.

What do you think I ought to do about the info I've posted here---I would hate to think that I had been duped!I guess I may have to start puting $$ signs in my posts to keep the loonies away!!

I will write to my contact at Ardennes Cem and advise that this God-mother thing might just be a fad. He's a great guy--retired Army--and has been extremely helpful in my various research endeavors. He recently was in hospital, so will have to drop him a line at home.

So, thanks for the "heads-up".I only have 21 years in this reasearch thing, and must bow to your obvious experience in all matters of history, research and your uncanny ability to "read" people.

I will make more of an effort to read all posts so that I can see trends in people's requests and replies.I expect that there is much to learn there.

Have a great day.

Dave

PS: I guess it never hurts to ask, but would you still be interested in sharing your "confidential method" with me?Afterall we do share a common interest in helping people find lost relatives etc...
