Regarding the info posted by Stalag below, the service number is what is called an "old Army" number.meaning he was in service before Selective Service.He was a "regular".
Also, regarding the "twin city" of Bristol.I checked both TN and VA and he was listed in NEITHER County's Honor Roll.
I did find him listed as resident in WYTHE County.
Perhaps additional information on his service could be gotten from local records there.
As Stalag pointed out, there were two George E. Donahue's in service who were KIA.Now that you have his correct serial number you can request the correct IDPF.
