151st FA Bn, 34th Infantry Division,
I am looking for any information on my Great uncle who served in World War II. He was gunned down by small arms enemy fire on hill 920 in Itlay( About 1,000 yards from Cersulo(??)).On the night of November 31,1943. The medic and Private(I believe) that went to rescue my Great-Uncle Eugene Lewis Delisle, were shot. The Medic was killed and the Private Humprey was kept back from enemy fire.As far as we know the Private went back later that night to get the "body" of Eugene onlt to find he was not there. They later found him in a shallow grave the enemys threw him in,dead. We believe he died of his wounds, but are not sure.we would like to find out any information about him.He served in the 151st Field Artillary Battalion, 34th Infantry Division,in the Red Bull Division.Thank you, Sam
