Individual Deceased Personnel File

By Carol Besch June 03, 2002 at 09:32:53

I received documents regarding the death of my Uncle Philip Besch who was killed in Germany during WWII.I was wondering if any one out there could help me out.On one of the documents is gives his date of death then it says cause of death S.F.W. Lt. Side. I assume lt means his left side. But I do not know what S.F.W. stands for.Can anyone help me.

Also it says he was buried on 4/17/1945 at US Mil. Cem. Bensheim Germany.Does anyone know where that is?I know he isn't there anymore, he was moved in 1947 to St. Avold, France at Lorraine American Cemetary.Any help will be appreciated.
