I know everything I wanted to, and now one of my friends has asked me to do the same for him, as his Godson was also part of the 91st BG, 401 Bomb Sq. Here's what he got from the Cemetery : 1Lt James P. Mc Avoy 401 Bomb SQ 91st Bomb GP (H) ASN : 0-797351 He came from the State of New York He died on November 3, 1943.
Could you please help him as you so kindly did for me ? I'll forward him all the answers you might have, for he doesn't have a PC of his own.

Initial information on J.P. McAvoy is as follows:
McAvoy was Navigator on 401st Bomb Squadron aircraft (4)230805 of the 91st BG.Aircraft name was "Bomb Boogie's Revenge".Code letters LL*H.Shot down on 8th AF Mission #84 to Wilhelmshaven to flak and fighters. It was one of three losses on that mission.Loss of aircraft is covered in MACR 1155. Pilot was Lt. Robert A. Pitts.Losses were 7 KIA and 3 POW.
