I have inherited my father's WWII souvenirs. I am particularly interested in the people who signed the back of his "The Black Hawk", a kind of Boot Camp annual. They are as follows: Pvt. H.J. JUNGBAUER, Minnesota; T/5 Gottlieb SCHOCK, N.Dakota; Pvt. James C. ROBERTS, Georgia; Pvt. Clifford STAHL, Minnesota; Pvt. Robert WHITMAN, Alabama; and Pvt. Lloyd GUSTAFSON, Minnesota.I also have copies of old newspapers which mention the 86th.There is a copy of The Stars And Stripes dated June 5, 1945; a copy of The Daily Pacifican dated January 3, 1946; a copy of The Crow's Nest, dated June 15, 194? (last number of date unreadable); a copy of the Christmas Menu (names of personnel inside) of the 343rd Infantry dated December 25, 1945; a copy of the Army-Navy Gazette, no date found; a copy of the Radio Press News, dated January 19, 1946. I also have several large photographs taken during the War somewhere (?)They are of 86th Army personnel and some wives of officers during some sorts of special dinners. These are in good shape and can be scanned for copies.I would also be more than happy to look for a special name among these old papers.
