Hi Garret, You have a big endeavor in doing this. Steven Ambrose has written several good books about WWII. But you might also try the following links:http://ww2.vet.org/default.asphttp://ww2.vet.org/default.asphttp://www.wasp-wwii.org/http://www.wasp-wwii.org/http://www.openstore.com/posters/http://www.openstore.com/posters/http://history.acusd.edu/gen/WW2Timeline/start.htmlhttp://history.acusd.edu/gen/WW2Timeline/start.htmlhttp://www5.playnet.com/bv/wwiiol/index.jsphttp://www5.playnet.com/bv/wwiiol/index.jsphttp://www.euronet.nl/users/wilfried/ww2/ww2.htmhttp://www.euronet.nl/users/wilfried/ww2/ww2.htm This should give you good start. My dad was in WWII he was a bowman on a small tank with the 7th Armored. When he was only 19 or 20 he was wounded. Then he became a cook and driver near Malmedy, France. I have a couple of pictures of him in the service, if you are interested.
