I should think the wearing of the pin indicated you were proud to have served your country. To let others know of your sacrifice in the name of freedom. There are hats/caps with service information...outfit, unit, etc.Tags for automobiles. Reunions. Service organizations. Branch of service flags in front of homes.
My late husband served with the United States Marine Corps and was proud of his service time. My brother "Rip" served with the United States Air Corps, 13th Air Force. He was killed by the japs.My brother "Buddy" served in the United States Army, the Aleutians. He wears his pin.
I am so proud of them.
I wonder....If so many do not want to to remember or discuss their military/service days, why is this site so popular......
