I am looking for any information (death records, children/grand children) on Gitel Kohan/Kogan and her husband Peisah. They came to Buenos Aires around 1917-1918. They had two children, a boy (1st born) and a girl. We know they lived in Buenos Aires at least until 1929, this is when letters from them stopped coming to the family back in Ukraine. They might have had other family members join them, perhaps the in-laws (Kohans) from Ukraine. In their letters, they mentioned FABRICA DE PARQUET...whether they owned it or worked there, we do not know. Also, on one of the family photos they sent, there was a stamp, which reads: "FOTO BLANCO NEGRO, AV. SAN MARTIN 1663".
I am not able to find any immigration records on CEMLA website. I found some records on AMIA website, relating to possible death records at the TABLADA cemetery, but there is no date of birth, so I have no way of knowing if these are the people I am looking for. I have emailed the Museum of Jewish History in Buenos Aires, I have emailed AMIA and CEMLA, but I have not heard back.
