There are no Armenian church records that have survived from Kharpert (Harput) or any of its villages. The only village in the Kharpert region which has some genealogical information available in detail is Parchanj through the village history (which has been translated into English and contains detailed family trees for all the families in the village).
There are numerous books on Kharpert and its Armenian villages which do supply some information that is of interest to genealogists. Almost all are in Armenian and have not been translated (I can only think of Parchanj, Habousi and Husenig as having been translated). Unfortunately, Vahe haig's massive tome, Kharpert and Her Golden Plains, has not yet been translated.
If anyone is interested in the current name and exact location of a previously Armenian inhabited village in the region of Kharpert, please let me know as I can help,
