Bathurst Free Press and Mining Journal, Wednesday 29 November 1899 Death of Mrs. Garlick. — We regret to record tho death of Mrs. Sarah Garlick, a resident of Orange for the past 25 years, which took place on Saturday. She was a native of Dublin, and came to New South Wales at the age of 16 years. She married the late Mr. Garlick, of Penrith, who at one time conducted Colless' water-mill on the Nepean and afterwards had a nice home near St. Mary's. Mrs. Garlick was the mother of Mrs. John Carman, of Cudal, Mrs. Charles Whiley, of Spring Hill, whose son has gone to the war in South Africa, Miss Eliza Garlick, of Orange, Mr. John Garlick, of Grahamstown, near Blayney, Mr. William Garlick, farmer, of near Blayney, Mr. George Garlick, alderman and blacksmith, Molong, and Mr. Isaac Garlick, blacksmith and wheelwright, Trangie, besides having buried two sons and one daughter. She had reached the ripe old age of 78 years.
