I'm looking for any information on my gggrandfather, JOHN KIRBY, who married KATE SYNAN in 1858 at St. John's, Limerick. They had at least seven children (I have sketchy information on some, but solid on at least five). Most of the girls took orders in the Sisters of Mercy, one emigrating to NZ, another to NSW.
Their son John married a Conway (name unknown—place of marriage unknown), and their son John became a priest in NSW, Australia, and might have ended up in Dunedin, NZ.
Here's what I have for the original John Kirby and his children and grandchildren. I'm hoping someone can help me fill in his backstory.

John was in ill health at the time and likely in his 70s like my granddad. --daughter Catherine m VINCENT MERCIER (no info) Julia 15-2-1868 (no info) Hanora 1870 (no info) William Michael 1871 (no info) Eliza Frances 1873 m DENIS HEGARTY (1871) --had 6 children (my grandfather is her son) Pauline (Sr. Mary Justinian SoM) 1874 (lived at Fitton Street convent until at least 1911)
I have info that there might have been another of the girls who took orders, as I have records of a Sister Mary Acquin. I have sent a query to the Cork chapterhouse for the Sisters of Mercy, but haven't heard back yet.
