Thanks for your quick reply regarding Henry James Dyer. I do know that if this is the correct person his fathers name was James and he was the eldest son - which would fit.
I know absolutley nothing about Australian Records - if I ordered Henry`s death certificate would it give much information, e.g. place of birth etc?
Also could you possibly tell me what the reference you showed is "Digger - Great War Index, Victoria 1914 - 1920?Does this mean that he served in the Great War?
