Hi MIchelle, I have now reivewed all the material you hav sent me on the Cotton's. Its great and will help me develop the family tree a great deal.
I wonder if you try to search out the death of MAry Ann.Jane Dowrick nee Morse. The elizabeth Dowrick you found in Adelaide does appear too young given the age quotes in the passenger list. HOwever Emma Louisa and Mary Jane are entered into the St Catehrine's House index but Elizabeth for 1843&1844. I have had time to check out later dates. So it might be that MAry Anne went to Adelaide with Elizabeth. Could you look for her for me, pls.
In terms of George I am resorting to a game of elimenation and have now turned to the electoral roles to try to identify him.
On a naming issue, do you know where these places are Miner's Hill ( MAry Ann's shipping list as her destination)
Whirily ( A george bull on the 1899 referendum roll)
Broadlands (ditto)
thanks
jon
