Hi Jan, I forgot to mention,I looked through the microfiche for the whole of Queensland's Electoral roll for 1946,but could not find Florence or Patrick James FLANAGAN on the electoral roll together at one address.
There were three Patrick James FLANAGAN listings for the Queensland Electoral Rolls in 1946.Florence does not appear on these rolls in 1946.Florence may not be listed on the electoral roll, because of her advanced age (76),she may have been in a nursing home.
The reason I looked through the whole state was that Florence's death is registered in country Queensland.Country Queensland is regarded as anywhere outside of Brisbane.Queensland death registrations do not list where the death is recorded,it is either Brisbane (in which case the death registration is preceded by a "B",Country registrations only have zeroes preceding the registration e.g. 1949(year)and 003458 (Florence's death registration).
The three Patrick James FLANAGAN listings were at Beaudesert,Southport and Gladstone.I can almost certainly rule out the Patrick at Southport, because he was a church minister on the electoral roll, and he died in 1954 in Brisbane. That leaves Beaudesert and Gladstone, but it still does not answer your query as to where Florence died.
Two ways of finding where Florence died are to find a listing of where Florence Eva FLANAGAN is buried(by way of cemetery listings) or purchase the death certificate and then ask SKS to look for a notice in the appropriate newspaper (if it is country you may be lucky enough to find an obituary in the local paper,Brisbane did not usually print obituaries for ordinary people)
The other way to verify where Florence died is to bite the bullet and purchase a death certificate, but at least you will know that you have the correct death registration.
