As promised,I went to the National Library and looked for the information you were seeking.
Egbart Edward KENNEDY died 30/3/1947 in Brisbane and was cremated at Mount Thompson Crematorium on 1/4/1947,his death registration is 1947/B010886 and the father was listed as Edward, but no mother listed.
The death notice published in the Brisbane Courier Mail on Tuesday,1/4/1947,Page 12,reads as follows -
KENNEDY.- On the 30th March,1947 at his residence,Shaftson Avenue,Kangaroo Point,Brisbane,the death occurred suddenly of Egbart Edward KENNEDY(Father of George Douglas KENNEDY)aged 78 years.To be cremated This(Tuesday)at 11 o'clock,at the Crematorium,Mt.Thompson.Cannon and Cripps Ltd,.Funeral Directors.
I did look for a marriage of George Douglas Anthony KENNEDY,but it looks as though he did not marry.
I found him on the electoral roll in Brisbane in the division of Griffith, subdivision of South Brisbane from 1943 till 1946 with Egbart,George was listed as a draughtsman, then in 1949 I found him listed as an architect in the division of Griffith, subdivision of Stephens.
After that I think he moved away from Brisbane, because I looked through all of the divisions and subdivisions that were allotted to Brisbane in 1950,but could not locate him.
It could be worthwhile E - Mailing Mt.Thompson Crematorium to see if he is interred with Egbart.
He is not listed as dying in Queensland up till 1964,so it may pay to try another posting to see if anyone else has him listed in their family tree. Regards from Canberra, Liz.
