I am trying to fill in some gaps in my family tree. My paternal grandmother's maiden name was Mabel Ruth CRIBB and her father was Alexander Hewitt CRIBB.
Mabel's first husband was a Samuel COLBORN and they had one daughter named Norma. Her second husband was my grandfather, John Patrick (or Percival) LE STRANGE. They had two boys, John Alexander (my father) and William George Dardenelles. There was also another son born to Mabel, called Roy.
She also had a sister called Georgina.
From the oral history I have, Alexander was the older brother to one of the founders of the Cribb & Foote deaprtment store in Ipswich, Australia, Benjamin CRIBB.
There is a large old house in Ipswich called Gooloowan, that was the family home. I think this is where Mabel grew up.
I would appreciate any information to fill in the gaps and confirm or deny the infomation I have. Thanks, Carol.
