Sarah went to Trial at Surrey Quarter Sessions in January 1818 and was transported to Australia in May 1818 on the "Maria".
From Sydney she was sent to Van Dieman's Land on the "Elizabeth Henrietta".
Sarah married in 1820 to Joseph HOPKINS and gave him a daugher also named Sarah.Joseph died in 1820.
Sarah later married Thomas WEBB in 1835
Sarah is said to have a first cousin William HARDISTY who could also have been in gaol in 1834.It is her family connection to 'HARDISTY' surname that I'm trying to unravel.
Searching to find out the parents of Sarah SMITH/HOPKINS/WEBB........
Is anybody out there related and perhaps knows the answer to the parentage of this Sarah SMITH please.
