John LOW was sent to Bermuda in 1778, as a member of the Royal Garrison Battalion; previously, he was in the 26th Regiment of Foot, in the American Colonies, joining the regiment on 27 September 1777, at Philadelphia, along with James and David LOW..
In 1781, his son, John Jr. was born, whose mother was Frances ____?. I assume that Frances and John were married at Bermuda but have no proof. Then about 1782, a daughter, Elinor was born. They were Presbyterians, so would have attended a protestant parish.
In 1783/84, the RGB was moved from Bermuda and Serjeant John LOW and family, moved to Nova Scotia.
I will try to find the site where I noted the land free holders, which, I think was a Bermuda Web Site.
