October 13, 1640. Receipt from THOMAS HARRIOTT of Southampton to ED CHAPLIN. Will of JOHN HARRIOTT of Devonshire Tribe, February 8, 1674. Eldest son JOHN, half land in Paget purchased from old JOHN TRIMINGHAM deed. Other half to son CORNELIUS & they are each to pay L40 before possessing. Other son: THOMAS, JOSEPH, NATHANIEL, JONOTHAN. The two youngest, NATHANIEL & JONOTHAN to be brought up & educated by cutting timber off the land. Daughter ELIZABETH to have wife's wearing apparel & jackey.
Brother JOHN WAINWRIGHT, Senior & Capt. GEORGE BASCOME of Warwick, Excrs. (Further on will says Brother LAWRENCE DILL & Cosen JOHN INGLESBY to be Excrs) Witness: RICH, WOOLRICH, JNO INGLESBY, WM MILBOURNE, JAS WILDERS. Proved. March 9, 1674.
Notes: JNO INGLESBY married SARAH WOOLRICH. JOHN HARRIOTT of Devonshire, eldest son of SARAH HARRIOTT, deed, relict of THOMAS HARRIOTT of Southampton, planter, administered on her estate October 15, 1669. She was buried in Devonshire, 29 Sept 1669.
JOSEPH HARRIOTT was witness to a deed between JNO GILBERT & THOS GILBERT for sale of 25 acres in Warwick in 1691.
