Carrick, Robert James - father, Thomas - mother, Mary Anne - baptism date: 1838 Apr 11 -St. George's parish - comment:White.; Pvt. 30th Reg.
Carrick, Sophia - father, Thomas - mother, Mary Ann - baptism date; 1840 Aug 2 - comment: age of child 1month -father was a Soldier.
Sorry I cannot see any further info.There is a book again by Hallett called Forty Years of Convict Labour in Bermuda - under regiments there is no 30th regiment and no personnel listing for the surname CARRICK or CARICK. Most of these regiments came out of PORTSEA, in England. you could try there for further info.
A friend of mine - suggested that you try the following: Your best bet for more info. is to go on Google and search for the Portsmouth Museum. It has a wide range of research tools and I know the local records are part of their archive.
