That is quite a gap in info from John Massam 1805 to today. If you would like help in finding family between then and now - could you give a few more names.
There is one possible family in Gonmanchester, Huntindon West, Quebec- in 1871 - there a re quite a number of family members in one household, including a John born about 1808 who could possibly be your fellow and if so, then his father John is also there, age 100
The family in 1871 consists of
Robert 39, Margaret, 36, Edward 10, Mary 7, Margaret 5, Anna 3, William, 1, John 63, Catharine 63, John , 100
Robert , Margaret and children all born ON, John and John born England and Catharine born Ireland
If this sounds like your family let me know and I will see what I can find. I did a short search and see that Catherine's maiden name was Duff (From birth record of son Robert) and from marriage for John and Catherine his parents were John Massan and Mary Hampton (Hampson) John Sr.'s death in 1871 shows him as age 110, not 100 and wife as Agnes Hampson, not Mary
but then she may have gone by Agnes ? It is possible that the 110 written out could be 102 ?
