Hi Lawrence - I'm still trying to find the marriage of Michael and Ann to see who his parents were.
I did find his burialwhich shows he was buried Nov. 31, 1895 (that is what it says -trente-et-un which is 31st, but there are only 30 days in November so I suspect he was buried on the 30th. It says he was buried in the cemetery of this Parish, spouse of Ann Campbell. He was 68 years old.
Quebec, Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1967 about Michael Kennedy Name: Michael Kennedy Event: Enterrement (Burial) Burial Year: 1892-1903 Burial Location: Buckingham, Québec (Quebec) Place of Worship or Institution: St-Gregoire-de-Naziance
Ann Campbell's burial is also there. It says she was buried March 9, 1905 and was buried in the cemetery of this Parish, at the age of 65 years, widow of Michel Kennedy of this Parish.

As I could not find a marriage for Michael and Ann, ( I used both spellings for his name Michael and Michel and both Ann and Nancy for her- see below) I went back in census to see if I could track him and hopefully find him with his parents.
One interesting thing I found is that in earlier years - 1871 and 1881 census Ann is listed as Nancy - 1881 shows some of the children that were with Ann in 1901 census - Fred, Thomas, Harold, and Herbertare all there- along with several other children - let me know if you want these census entries.
In 1871 the eldest child James is age 14 so born about 1857
In 1861 census Ann is listed as Ann - so I suppose she went by both Ann and Nancy
In all census Michael is shown as born Ireland, Ann as born Quebec. His age 30 in 1861, 40 in 1871 , 50 in 1881
So far no luck on finding Michael in 1851 census so he may have arrived from Ireland after that - but I do see that in the 1861 census there are several other Kennedys in the same area of Buckingham, Ottawa, Quebec including a James Kennedy born about 1795 Ireland - just a possibility for a father to Michael but need some record to prove if he is or isn't.
This James is a tailor, age 66, born Ireland and in his family listing are several other Kennedy including these males who are likely his sons William, age 36 born ireland Patrick, age 22, born Ireland Thomas, age 24, born Ireland there are some young children as well, Oney, age 4, bornQuebec, James, age 1, born Quebec -
William is shown married and looks like his wife is Margaret, age 28
so I thought I would look for the marriage of William and Margaret and see what his parents names are shown as and then see if I can somehow connect them with Michael.
I have had no luck at all - some records that are in the index - and may be part of that family are not there when I click to see the image - either the indexing is completely messed up and they are linking to wrong pages which is what it seems - or they have indexed the pages incorrectly by reading the name wrong - I suspect the first. Either way it is of no help.
So, I am not really any further along with finding parents for Michael or Ann/Nancy.
I only have access to the Quebec records on ancestry - maybe someone who has access to records on another site could help find the marriage of Michael and Ann for you.
