An Ancestry autosomal dna test has matched me with descendants of an Alexander Taylor and John Murray and Mary Kennedy. I have been unable to find the missing links but suspect they are through either (or both) Ann (Nancy) Jamieson and Sarah Jamieson, both of whom married my Blake ancestors. It seems highly likely that Taylor and Murray came from Scotland since they settled with other Scots in New Brunswick during the 1700s. John Blake, father-in-law of Ann, may also have come from Scotland. It is possible that the Jamiesons came to Canada via NY around the time of the American Revolution and may have been in other parts of Canada before settling in New Brunswick. I recently transferred my dna data to ftdna and am awaiting matches from their database. Please connect if this seems to relate to you.
