My Great Uncle Harris Bramwell Moorhouse died in Normandy during the Second World War. I know that he was born in Alberta in 1916 as it says so in his army records. He later moved to British Columbia and that is where his death records are stored. I was hoping that his birth certificate would tell me where exactly he was born in Alberta. I know that there is a 100/120 year wait for birth certificate information in Canada. In British Columbia you can request a birth certificate sooner than 100 years, as long as the person concerned died more than 20 years ago. I was wondering whether this applied to Alberta - whether I would be able to request my relatives birth details becuase he died more than 20 years ago?
