There is no mention on the death registration of her death being the result of a fire. The registration does have an area to be filled out if the death was the result of external causes (violence) - Accident, suicide or homicide. This area is blank.
Peter Black, Cora Black's husband, died in December 1926 (age 59).He had been in BC for 17 years and in Canada for 40 years, having been born in Scotland.
If they were married in BC, it was after 1925 so it seems unlikely. His death registration lists his occupation as hotel proprietor at the Central Hotel in Prince Rupert.
I hope this helps -I did take a photocopy of the death registration. If you want it, email me an address and I will mail it to you.
