Donald Ross (b. 1859, Kincardineshire, Scotland; d. 1899, India) and Jesse Mae Hollis (b. 1861, Wigtonshire, Scotland; d. unknown) in 1883 in Lochee, Dundee, Scotland. After Donald died in 1899, Jessie Ross married William Borchart on 2/5/1900.I know nothing more of William Borchart. The 6 daughters, all born in Lochee, of Donald and Jessie Ross were:Mary Jane, b. 1886; Jessie Hollis, b. 1888; Magdeline Carnegie, b. 1890; Maggie McCulloch (later Margaret), b. 1891; Dorothy Georgina (born Georgina Towns), b. 1894; and Elizabeth Blackburn, b. 1895.Mary Jane and Jessie were in the 1901 Winnipeg census.Jessie married probably in 1908 in Saskatchewan and later moved to British Columbia and then California.Maggie married in Winnipeg in 1910, was widowed in 1915, and moved to British Columbia where she died in 1983.Dorothy married in Winnipeg in 1915, moved to Ontario and later Michigan, where she died in 1964.Elizabeth married in Winnipeg in 1914, later divorced and married again, moved to Scotland in the 1930's, and returned to British Columbia, where she died in 1947.Nothing more is known of Mary Jane and Magdeline Carnegie Ross.I'm seeking any information on these sisters, their mother Jesse Ross Borchart, and William Borchart.I'd like to learn when they came to Canada and make contact with any of their descendants.Any information or suggestion for further research would be greatly appreciated.
