You show Ed arriving in Manitoba somewhere around 1898 or so, but there is a birth in the Manitoba birth database for Clifford C. Daniels
born Aug. 22, 1885, Brandon, mother Ella D. Creighton
Father's name not shown
so they must have been there for a while around that time.
There is also a marriage for Edward G. Daniels an Mary Elizabeth Portridge
in BrandonAug. 3, 1892
I see in the 1901 census there is a step-daughter Edith F. Daniels age 11
and in marriages there is an Edith Florence Daniels, married in Brandon Nov. 19, 1913 to Percy Willocka
In 1901 Edith is shown born NWT in 1906 she is shown born MN
1906 BRANDON, MN
Edward, age 53, born USA
Mary, age 35, wife, born ON
Crayton, age 21, son, born MN
Edith, age 16, daughter, born MN
William, age 28, boarder, born England
1911 BRANDON, MN
Ed. G., age 58, born April 1853 Connecticut
Mary E., age 40, born March 1871 ON
Edith F., age 21, daughter, born Dec. 1885 Sask.
A.H. , age 73, mother-in-law, born Oct. 1838 England
Eunice, age 11, lodger, born March 1892 Sask
** if Eunice was born 1892 she would be about 19, not 11, and it does look more like 18 or 19 in the image so I went to 1901 to see if she is there, she is with her grandparents and she is age 9 born NWT
1916 BRANDON, MN
Edward G., age 63, born USA
Mary E., age 44, wife, born ON
** so three different birthplaces for Edith??
There is a birth in Ontario database for Mary Elizabeth Partridge, born March 18, 1871 to Henry Partridge and Hester Roper so this seems to fit for Mary.
She was born in Etobicoke, York, ON
Her father was a miller
This seems to fit for her in 1891 with daughter Edith, but listed as Tubman -maybe that was the father's name- perhaps Mary took back her maiden name - divorce ??
1891BROADVIEW, ASSINIBOIA EAST, TERRITORIES, CANADA
Henry, age 50, born England parents born England
Annet, age 52, wife, born England parents born England
Stanley, age 21, son, born England, parents born England
Walter, age 18, son, born ON parents born England
Mary, age 20, divorced, daughter, born ON parents born England
Edith F., age 1, granddaughter, born NWTparents born England (they had used ditto marks so showed all of them with parents born England which is obviously incorrect for Edith)
As Sask. became a Province in 1905 - that may be why in later census Edith was shown born there.
In Manitoba database there is a death for Ann Hester Partridge in BrandonMarch 17, 1912, age 74
I did not find death for her husband Henry but I see that in 1911 he was alive and living in Sask with son Walter so it may be that his wife was just visiting her daughter at time of that census - Henry is listed as married. he is still a live at time of 1916 census, still with son Walter and now Henry is listed as single.
There is a death for Edward G. Daniels, in Brandon, July 23, 1918, age 65
There is a possible marriage of his wife Mary Elizabeth in Winnipeg, April 7, 1924 to Benjamin Draper
the bride is Mary Elizabeth Daniels - but it does not show ages or maiden name so cannot be sure
there is a lot on the Partridge family if you want it.
If I find more I'll let you know.Carolyn L
